Saturday Farmers brunch

After sipping on a freshly brewed cup of Elida Ritual coffee and a savory hazelnut scone at Remedy Coffee  in Oakland
I decided to finish the rest of my scone with some fresh greens purchased at the Berkeley Farmers Market earlier that morning:
Crushed and chopped 3-4 cloves of garlic (depending on how big of a fan you are), chopped 1/3 of a yellow onion, tossed into the pan with a spoon full of Stonehouse California olive oil, then added some broccolini and dino kale, let it steam with a few spoon fulls of water, squeeze half a meyer lemon and leave the lemon on the pan while the rest of the greens cook...
Sprinkle with coarse sea salt and ENJOY!

On a cold Friday night...

A craving for something warm...fresh... and local...
aha! CHEESEBOARD
If you live around the Bay Area and have never made it to this pizza co-op you have been missing out!
They make one kind of pizza a day and although this might sound dissapointing, it never is. Using cheese from their neighbor sister cheese parlor and seasonal ingredients.
Their menu board consist of the pizza, the salad, the dessert and the quote of the day; simple yet wholesome.
On a Friday evening you will be greeted by the smell of fresh mozzarella or goat cheese, the sound of live jazz or funk and a smile at the cash-only counter...
Oh! and lets not forget the extra slice with every order
